the fifth

good news for good weather.

i was coming home on the train a few days ago and i started talking to this african american gentleman. eventually we started talking about how i'm a journalism major, which sparked the conversation of how we're both writers. then he asked if i'm in a band, when i told him yes and played him Lights, he was very impressed. he then gave me his e-mail address and told me when we had more songs complete he could talk to some people he knows who are on an indie label to get us signed (he works at a hip hop label).

i haven't really written much since my last time i posted. i've been busy not sleeping, so i'm sorry about that. hopefully i can get some songs done soon.

it's nice to be home for a weekend and not have to worry about where the next party is going to be. friday night i went to Jon's house and we played NFL Blitz 2000, swapped some music and listened to some old vinyl. this, my friends, is much better than getting wasted in some random ass apartment and walking around in -10 degree weather downtown.

yesterday i hung out with Timmyjames, Neal and Pat. we got lunch and Johnnie's Beef and it was delicious. later that night me and Timmyjames went to see Cursive at Schuba's. it was a mindblowing show. i haven't seen anyone play with that much raw emotion (and alcohol) in some time. today i'm hanging out with Kamila and Timmyjames and having dinner with Friz.

then i go back to school.
